Savoured as a sweet delicacy all across India, Fini/Pheni- the traditional form of thread like noodles spun together is a vermicelli made from unleavened dough of semolina and rice flour deep-fried in ghee (clarified butter). It can be sweetened in a sugar syrup and can be relished as such. The unsweetened Fini/Pheni can be consumed with hot milk. Garnishing with finely cut almonds, pistachio and cardamom powder renders it a wonderful flavour.

This delicious Kesar Fini (vermicelli) made in pure Desi Ghee (clarified butter) from fine flour (Maida), soaked with sugar syrup (Chashani) added with edible yellow food color and garnished with saffron strands (Kesar), cardamom powder, pistachio, almonds etc. is a traditional mouthwatering sweet delicacy. The taste is available from November to April.
